Teams and roles

Your account owns the projects. You invite other people into it, each with a role, and they work on your projects from their own login. Nobody has to share a password, and the plan, the limits and the billing stay yours.

This is enforced by the database rules, not only by the dashboard: a translator who tries to create a keyword by other means is refused the same way.

Inviting someone

1. Settings → Members → Add member. Name, email and role.
2. They get an email with a link to create their account, with that same email.
3. They verify their email. Until they do, the invitation does not grant anything: otherwise anyone could sign up with an email they do not own and walk into your projects.
4. Next time they open the dashboard they are in. A workspace switcher appears at the top left of the top bar: My projects, or your account.

Changing someone’s role, or setting their invitation to inactive, takes effect on their next action. Deleting the invitation removes their access.

Working in someone else’s workspace

Everything — projects, keywords, documents, the quality report — is that account’s. Your own free trial or plan does not matter while you are in there; what counts is the plan of the account that invited you. The translations you write belong to that account.

Agencies: limiting access by client

If your account has clients, an invitation can be limited to some of them. Leave the client list empty and the person sees everything; tick two clients and those are the only projects they can open, translate or even list.

That is how an agency gives a freelance translator access to one client’s app without showing them the rest of the portfolio.

Members and your plan

The member limit of your plan counts the owner. Free (1 member) cannot invite anyone; the paid plans have no member limit today.
